Membership

The Southeastern Academy of Legal Studies in Business is one of eight regional subdivisions of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business (ALSB). The ALSB was founded in 1924 and is an association of teachers and scholars in the fields of business law, legal environment, and law-related courses outside of professional law schools. SEALSB's members teach primarily in schools of business in colleges and universities within the region, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

We welcome your membership and participation! Whether you are teaching legal studies inside or outside our region, you may become a member by attending any of our annual conferences or pay annual dues. Registration for an upcoming conference also covers a year's dues and a subscription to our annually published law review: the Journal of Legal Studies in Business, which is double blind peer reviewed and indexed to Cabells. For information about the conference and to register, go to the conference page at this site.

The yearly SEASLB membership cost is included in the regional conference fee of $75. If you would like to become a member but are unable to attend this year's conference in November, dues are $40 which includes a subscription to the Journal of Legal Studies in Business.
